Tomato & Basil Smoothie
It is like taking a Caprese salad, minus the mozzarella, making this recipe a refreshing smoothie. Tomato and basil pair extremely well together as whole foods so it is no wonder it also works together in a beverage.
|Non-fat milk, unsweetened almond milk, or homemade almond milk||1 c|
|Heirloom tomatoes, cored and chopped||2 c|
|Fat-free plain Greek yogurt||1 c|
|Basil leaves||1/2 c|
|Sea salt (optional)||1/8 t|
Blend and serve.
