About this Episode

Meghan Hamrock, MS, MPH, is a public health specialist in North Carolina attending the American Association for Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) annual conference and exhibition for the first time. At AANP 2019, the WholisticMatters Podcast Series with John P. Troup, PhD, was live, and during the discussion with Hamrock, we gained valuable insights into the importance of public health in medicine.

Hamrock has experience working in community health clinics assessing an individual’s readiness to truly make a healthy change in their life. She is passionate about adjusting the mindset that produce is too expensive or that no one wants to buy it. Recently she spent some time analyzing the cost of purchasing fruits and vegetables in comparison to popular fast food sources, dispelling the rumor that healthy food is more expensive than non-healthy food. Hamrock practices making healthy choices and educating others on healthy living in her own home, as she teaches her three year-old son to cook. Noah has been known to munch on bell peppers like most other young children munch on apples.

Scientifically driven. Education focused. Healing Inspired.
